I have come to think of health like the foundation of our house. A strong foundation doesn’t mean we won’t have health challenges – no one escapes that – but it does mean we may have fewer, and we will be able to weather the challenges that we are presented with better.

The four “corners” of your health foundation:

-Inhale/Take In: all the many ways you bring air, substance, ideas and more into your body.
-Exhale/Let Go: all the many ways you let go and release into the world.
-Move: all the ways you stretch, exercise, create, manifest, learn and grow.
-Be Still: all the ways you rest, regenerate, rejuvenate and replenish.

Connect: The fours corners are held together by the “hearth”, or center, of the house; all the ways you connect – with friends, family, God, nature, pets, our communities, the world.

Decide where you need to do some reinforcement, some shoring up. We almost always know what our “weak” spots are; and we almost always don’t want to do what we need to do to make a shift. At least not initially. But move past the resistance and set the intention.

Health is complicated, but it also is simple: inhale, exhale, move, be still – and connect. That is the essence of your health foundation.
