As someone who is quite active and generally pretty certain that she’s indestructable [sic], I was devastated when what at first seemed to be a few muscle twinges turned out to be a serious vertebral disc injury.  I was in a considerable amount of discomfort and very worried about my condition, and I had to stop training entirely for several weeks because I was in such bad shape; this last was the hardest.  Kari not only treated my painful and malfunctioning body while I healed but also became my cheerleader and voice of reason.  She assured me that a neck injury wasn’t the end of the world — I had to be proactive about my health and sensible in what I chose to do, but I’d be fine.  She was right.

Kari is not merely a stellar acupuncturist and bodyworker but an awesome person, to boot.  It is strong testimony to her awesomeness that, even though I dislike needles, I always look forward to my appointments with her.
