I have been to going to Energy Matters for over a year, and have the highest possible rating for both of the people I work with: Prajna and Kari.

Prajna is a healer in all senses of the word. I first came to her for a twisted knee, which recovered quickly with acupuncture and herbs.  I was so amazed by the results, and so trusted Prajna’s intuitive questions and sensitive touch that I opened up about the back problems I’d had for twenty years. I had been to four or five acupuncturists in the past and decided that acupuncture maybe just wasn’t the right thing for my back. However, I just hadn’t found the right acupuncturist! Prajna has found ways to help relieve my acute pain and has suggested things to try for longer-term improvement (herbs, stretches, a particular yoga teacher, etc.), all of which have made a world of difference.  I truly believe that I am in the hands of someone special when Prajna is working with me. She directs her full attention and efforts toward you, and the results – physical and mental – are amazing. I have recommended her to everyone I know and continue to see her for everything from a common cold (with spectacular results!) to trouble sleeping.  Could not recommend Prajna more.

And…how to describe Kari?! She’s phenomenal. I stumbled on her by accident (I had a bout of severe back and neck pain and got an appointment on a Saturday with her), and what a lucky accident it was. Kari has a breadth of experience and wisdom that combines formal education, self-study, and her own personal experience with pain as an artist/athlete.  She treats me for back pain that has plagued me for two decades with a combination of acupuncture and orthopedic bodywork. I have walked into appointments in tears, and left feeling like the work she has done (bodywork and/or acupuncture) has allowed me to breathe for the first time since the pain hit. Kari describes the body in ways that help you envision it as an interconnected system, which is invaluable in figuring out ways to address pain. I have taken her “Stretch for Life” class twice and could not recommend it more for anyone — of any age or ability — who wants to explore stretching and movement as a way to combat pain and strengthen your body.  Kari is a genuine healer who combines knowledge, wit and sensitivity. She has changed my life. Please check her out so she can change yours!
