I started seeing Kirstin Lindquist for acupuncture treatments some years ago when she worked in a lovely alternative resource center in Emeryville in walking distance from where I live. From the beginning, I have experienced her to be a ‘no nonsense’ practitioner in that she sees me on time, and though willing to chat, steers us toward the goal which is to see what’s up for me that needs her attention—she really listens–then gets right to taking care of what she perceives needs to be done. She is very skilled and informed in her field. I am always surprised at the range of knowledge she has working with the many different health issues that present themselves to me in my baby boomer capacity….ranging from sore knees, low energy, dizziness, memory issues, and most recently cholesterol issues. And she is always willing to find out more and get back to me so I am well equipped to work with the problem.

Most recently when she was holding my wrist to check my pulses, I had a heart opening awareness of how an old experience was contributing to a current ailment. I realized even more that Kirstin is not just putting needles in me in the appropriate places based on her many years of education; she is also imparting a healing energy that penetrates other layers of my being which allows me to heal more holistically.

Though Kirstin has moved out of my neighborhood, I continue to drive over to see her once a month in her beautiful new facility. I rarely have colds and flues and I attribute that to the work she does that strengthens my immune system. Even the discomfort I experience with other issues seems to fade at most times which I attribute to what I do to contribute to my own healing and very much to Kirstin’s intelligent and kind approach to working with my well being.
