KIRSTIN LINDQUIST, L.Ac.
Kirstin helps people achieve greater physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. She supports others as they expand their understanding of the world to include the unseen but ever-present realm of energy. She has been a Licensed Acupuncturist since 1993 and an instructor of Qigong since 2006.
She earned her masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California and her bachelors degree from Stanford University. She has had extensive post-graduate training in nutritional health and qigong, as well as other ongoing continuing education in Chinese medicine. Prior to starting her acupuncture practice she was a certified massage therapist.
When she isn’t in the clinic, Kirstin enjoys hiking the many beautiful trails in the East Bay, reading a good novel, and smiling at the antics of the animal menagerie with whom she and her life-partner Susannah share their home: two cats, two birds and one tortoise.
ANNE PARK, L.Ac.
After finishing her bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley and exploring various career paths, Anne made a decision to seek out the life she wanted to live rather than a life she thought she should pursue. This led to the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine at YoSan University in Los Angeles. She studied and practiced Chinese Medicine and qigong with Dr. Daoshing and Maoshing Ni, 38th generation practitioners and qigong masters. The most influential and educational clinical experiences for Anne were performing exclusive facial rejuvenation procedures at the spa onboard a cruise ship, treating chronic pain at the Venice Family Clinic, and working with patients at the cleansing- detoxification program at the Tao of Wellness Clinic.
She loves and enjoys every aspect of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Treating patients is her meditation and inspiration. Often, a communication occurs that is beyond words, a moment when she and her patient completely see and understand each other. After the treatment, she is rewarded with the brightness she sees in her patients’ faces and eyes, the lightness in their bodies, and the increased clarity in their minds. Known for her gentle touch, she especially welcomes patients new to acupuncture. Her other passions include lounging in the sun while looking up at the trees, preferably near a body of water, and taking long walks and bike rides throughout the city, around the bay, and up in the hills.
Shannon Williams, Office Manager
Shannon is a native resident of Oakland. Ever since she can remember, she has wanted to help people. As an undergraduate at Florida Memorial University she pursued pre-med via a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. After obtaining her degree she was introduced to many other approaches to medicine and healing. This led her to the opportunity to work for Kirstin, where she was introduced to acupuncture. She fell in love with this approach to healing as well as the results and she is thrilled to be a part of a team providing natural health care.
As Office Manager, Shannon enjoys supporting the practitioners so they can focus on providing excellent care and doing everything she can to ensure that patients’ visits run smoothly. She looks forward to meeting those new to Energy Matters as well as continuously building relationships with ongoing clients.
