Angela Coon, L.Ac.

I am a general practitioner with a focus on Whole Family Wellness, Digestive harmony, and a lead practitioner for the 21 Days to Better Health program.   I support patients through making the changes in their lives that make sense and help cultivate the self care treatment plans that create long term health for patients and families out in the real world. Small change over time can be just the catalyst our bodies need to rebuild and sustain health. I encourage clients to look deeply at how they value health as a foundation for living the life they want.

I truly love Chinese medicine.  I studied and practiced with several international clinicians at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences, learning the arts of NADA protocol for anxiety and chemical dependence, Balance Method, various aspects of the Master Tung methodology, cupping and electro-stim for pain relief and stroke patients, all of which earned me  a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I earned a BA in Creative Writing with a minor degree in music from the University of Colorado and attended Naropa University for several of their world renowned Summer Writing programs.

Suffering from chronic fatigue around the time I graduated college over 25 years ago, I began my personal investigation into TCM.  In it I discovered that my health was not a stagnant, linear process but one which was unique, always changing, and that I could learn to find balance and resilience in my daily, weekly, yearly choices. As a mother to four, a traveling musician and someone who loves to cook and garden, finding balance has been paramount to staying healthy. I studied this medicine so that I could learn, grow, practice and share the missing links between living “disease free” and living my healthiest, happiest life.  This belief and experience is what the basis of each treatment with me at Energy Matters stems from: to nurture our bodies, our families, our communities and live in balance with nature and the planet.
